Family: Mary Frances and Rufus Burleson have been married for more than 40 years.

Passions: "My husband first got a Boxer puppy for my protection while he was on the road as a traveling salesman," Burleson says. That first puppy blossomed into the couple’s passion: Boxers. They’ve been showing Boxers since 1964, and 40 of their dogs have won championships in the U.S. and Canada. "When you come home from your day, good or bad, they don’t care. They just get up in your lap and love you," Burleson says.

Burleson and her husband are also very involved in their church, Park Cities Baptist Church, where they are members of Floyd’s Faithfuls Sunday school group.
