George Stephens
Life outside real estate

TAR’s 2003 chairman of the board cannot be accused of bringing a narrow scope of "outside" experiences to the position. Prior to his career in real estate, George Stephens worked as an accountant, owned a car dealership, and was a key player in a manufacturing business. He attended Julliard on a music scholarship, rubbed elbows with celebrities while an associate producer in New York, and engaged in what he refers to as "soldier of fortune" activities in Central America. He even holds a patent for a part in a commercial ice machine.

When he’s able to find time away from real estate these days, Stephens enjoys cooking, writing, computer programming, music, watching football, going to the movies, cold weather, and spending time with his kids. Stephens has two daughters, Tanya and Sarah, and one son, Noel.
