I use eFax to provide a toll-free fax number. It costs me about $2.95 per month and five cents per 30 seconds of receiving time. It is forwarded to my e-mail. So I receive faxes whenever I check my e-mail at home, at the office, out of town, wherever. On my days off, I do not miss a fax at the office. When I am out of town for training, I still receive my faxes each day.

So simple, we forget. If you do not have a scanner, you can add documents you want to distribute via the Internet by faxing a document to your own e-mail address and downloading it. Now you can use it how you wish! Good for newspaper articles, untyped forms, a quick mailout, etc. To do this, you need to sign up for one of the services that enable you to receive faxes as e-mail. I use JFax.
