Back up and move it

You may feel secure knowing you regularly back up your data files, but if you store the backups at the same site as the computer source, you’re still carrying some risk. A fire, flood, or other catastrophe might wipe both out along with years of hard work and important information.

Keeping your office backups at your house (and vice versa) can avert trouble. Online file storage gives you another option. Connected.com, XDrive.com, Backup.com, and other Web sites provide this service for a fee.
