An easy way to share |

One of the best things about e-mail is the speed with which you can share information. When that information comes from a Web page, you have several options. You can type the entire URL into an e-mail message, but one incorrect keystroke will render the link useless. Better yet, copy and paste the Web address into your message. An easy way to accomplish this is by right-clicking a Web link, then selecting Copy Shortcut. Next, right-click in your e-mail messages text area and select Paste. The exact link will appear. You may have to type a space or hit enter to make the link "live." Most browsers, including Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator, also offer two more solutions: Under the File menu, you will find options to send a Web page by e-mail or to send the link by e-mail. These functions will launch an e-mail message with the page itselfcomplete with graphicsor the link, depending on which selection you make. Illustration © Brand X Pictures.
