at them: Title agents find and fix title problems before issuing title insurance
in 25% of all residential transactions. This statistic, which represents as
many as 1.5 million curative actions each year, comes form a recent survey of
American Land Title Association members.
Of course, title insurance may also provide coverage for defects in title originating before the date of the policy but not discovered until after closing.
