Legislative Hill Visits

More than 800 REALTORS® from across Texas traveled to the statehouse to meet with legislators and discuss TAR positions on a number of important topics, including home-warranty contracts, zoning issues, and home equity lending. The day kicked off with resolutions honoring Texas REALTORS® in both the Senate and House chambers.

Sen. Todd Staples (center) poses for a photograph with Chris Hageney (left) and Bill Jones. Staples, one of three REALTORS® currently serving in the Texas Senate, used the Hill Visits as an opportunity to visit with REALTORS® from East Texas and around the state to discuss issues and thank members for supporting him in his Senate race last year. Sen. Jeff Wentworth speaks about e-signature legislation to REALTORS® from Austin, Central Texas, West Texas, and San Antonio.
