Don’t let the artwork fool you. Stamps are money. And slapping an extra one (or two) on envelopes when you don’t know the correct postage can add up quickly. Instead, use the USPS postage calculator at http://postcalc.usps.gov (or visit USPS.com and click on Calculate Postage) to find out the exact fare for that letter or package.

Also on the USPS site, you can look up ZIP codes, purchase stamps online, even send a certified letter via the Internet. Sure beats waiting in line.
