TRECAdvisor available online

Effective with the April 2003 issue, the Texas Real Estate Commission will make the TRECAdvisor available to licensees only online. For the same subscription price, licensees will now receive two extra issues per year and have the convenience of accessing the publication online. The format and content of the TRECAdvisor will remain unchanged.

In order to meet recently mandated budget cuts to state government by the Texas Legislature, TREC has reduced its operating budget by $290,000 in part by eliminating staff positions and cutting travel, equipment purchases, training, and other daily expenditures. Since printing and mailing the TRECAdvisor costs approximately $128,000 per year, making this publication available online constitutes a major savings for TREC.
