You’ve told your sellers what they need to do to get their home in tip-top selling shape. So why aren’t they doing it? Don’t they want the best price and quickest sale?
Perhaps they don’t remember all the instructions you gave or they couldn’t decide where to start. Maybe they’ve been taking care of the less-noticible items first. For these situations and others, a seller’s checklist could come in handy. You can create a list with standard items and space for items specific to that property. If you prioritize this list, you can be sure that the sellers spend their time and money removing the dead tree in front before they repaint the hall storage closet.
Other items to consider putting on the checklist include daily and weekly cleaning reminders, and tips for just prior to showings. Let your sellers know that these steps will help them achieve their goals of selling their house for the most amount of money in the least amount of time.
