What makes a good password?

• Long passwords are more secure than short ones
• Alphanumeric (letters and numbers) combinations make a password harder to guess than letters only
• Symbols and punctuation, if allowed, add another layer of security. They are hard to guess and, if viewed, difficult to remember
• Avoid common phrases and words, birthdays, names, and other predictable passwords
