The Internet is "in"

At one time accused of resistance to using the Internet, commercial real estate professionals are coming around. Seventy-seven percent of practitioners have broadband Internet access in their offices, according to a survey by PikeNet and Gomez Advisors reported in Commercial Property News. The same percentage of those questioned also said they check e-mail hourly. Half of respondents take advantage of the Internet for e-commerce, while 62% have embraced online property listings.

This high level of acceptance has not yet changed how commercial real estate professionals attract clients. Almost nine of 10 respondents claimed they draw only a small number clients from the Internet.
