If transferring images from your digital camera requires you to negotiate a tangle of wires or tie up your camera while draining its batteries, you should consider a memory card reader. A card reader plugs into a USB port on your computer and sits on your desk at the ready for picture transfers. You need only remove your memory card from your camera and place it in the reader to easily move your photos onto your computer. Make sure you get a reader that is compatible with the type of memory cards you use. Some card readers accept more than one memory format, but you typically will pay more for this flexibility.
