Is it time you built a team?

1. Do you frequently feel so overwhelmed that you dread when another piece of business comes to you?

2. Do you feel that you are losing what little personal life you had?

3. Are you spending more than half of your time involved in paperwork or activities that don’t give you client face time that could be handled by an administrative person?

4. If your administrative burden were relieved, do you honestly believe that you would devote the extra time spending more face time with clients?

5. Is your prospecting limited because you are tied up in menial work?

6. Does your customer service suffer because there is not enough of you to go around?

7. Do clients ask why you haven’t delivered on promises you made to them?

8. Are you frequently short with clients because their reasonable requests “make more work” for you?

9. Do you feel caught between “I can’t afford to build a team” and “I can’t afford not to”?

10. Are there critical pieces of the sales and listings cycles that you are very good with and others that you handle poorly?

If you answered six or more in the affirmative, then the timing is right.

Learn to manage a team

A team is really a company within a company. Team leaders can learn more about managing effectively through the Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB designation) program. Contact the Texas CRB administrator, Marian Mansperger, at marianmansperger@prodigy.net or the Manager’s Council Services Department at NAR at
