Say you send an e-mail to a client but you want the response to come back to your assistants e-mail in-box rather than yours. With some e-mail programs, you can set up the message so when your client hits the Reply button, the e-mail message pops up with your assistants (or anyone elses) e-mail address filled in. Using Microsoft Outlook, for example, open a new message, then click Options on the toolbar just above the To... field. Under Delivery options, fill in the Have replies sent to: field with an e-mail address of your choosing, or you can select names directly from your address book. You can enter more than one name if, say, you want the reply to come to you and your assistant. This setting applies only to the current message. If your e-mail program doesnt offer this feature, you may have a workaround available. If you are comfortable doing so, you can change the user information on your e-mail account from your address to any other, so that replies will be sent to that address. However, you can only select one e-mail address, and you must remember to change the address back to your own after you send the message. Illustration © Artville.
