Read the fine print

If you often find yourself squinting at your monitor, you can enlarge text and graphics by decreasing your monitor’s resolution. Conversely, increasing the resolution will shrink the size of text and graphics but will allow you to view more items on your screen.

Make this change by clicking the Windows Start button and going to Settings > Control Panel > Display. Then, click the Settings tab. Adjust your resolution with the slide control under the heading Screen area.
