ZipForm 5.0 to be included as a TAR member benefit

Any day now, you will have new real estate forms software. Starting in 2001, all Texas REALTORS^® will receive REFormsNet’s ZipForm 5.0 as a member benefit. (FastFill users were able to upgrade to ZipForm 5.0 through Oct. 31 for free, and all TAR members can purchase the software for the remainder of 2000 for $19.95.)

Get ZipForm up and running on your computer
Downloading and installing ZipForm 5.0 doesn’t take much more than a connection to the Internet and a few clicks:

1) Connect to the Internet and open your browser.

2) Log on to the TAR members-only Web site. The link for the members-only site can be found under the yellow For REALTORS^® banner on the left side of www.tar.org.

3) Enter your seven-digit license number and your TAR PIN and click Submit. If you don’t have a TAR PIN, instructions to get one are in the yellow box on the right. Fill in the information and click the Submit Your Request button.

4) Click on the Get ZipForm 5.0 link.

5) Fill out the information requested and click Submit.

6) You’ll see a new ZipForm page with downloading and installation instructions. Print this page for later use. You will find a redemption code on this page. Write down this code and keep it for your records. (You will also receive an e-mail with your redemption code along with another copy of the installation instructions and the ZipForm master login and password.)

7) When you’re ready, click the Download Now link. The 8.9 MB file might take as long as 90 minutes if you have a slow connection to the Internet.

8) Stay online even after the download is complete.

9) Click Save to Disk and make a note of where on your computer you save the file.

10) After the download is complete, go to the location where you saved the file and double-click on the file.

11) You will be prompted for your login and password. The first time, the login is Master and the password is password (all lower case). You can change these items later.

12) ZipForm 5.0 is now installed on your computer. To launch the program, double-click the ZipForm icon on your desktop.

TAR members who prefer can install the program directly from a CD. CDs are available from ZipForm for $14.95 by calling 800/383-9805.

An excellent ZipForm 5.0 online tutorial developed for the California Association of REALTORS^® is available from learning.net. The tutorial is free but does require registering with the site.
