Pump it up

Correct tire pressure improves your car’s gas mileage, extends the life of your tires, gives you more control over your vehicle, and helps prevent blowouts and tread separations. Most people know that, but a recent National Highway Traffic Safety Administration study reports that 43% of the population does not "take an active role in maintaining tire pressure."

You should check tire pressure at least monthly. Use an accurate tire gauge on "cold" (driven less than one mile) tires.
