REALTORS® support victims of terror |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
NAR established the REALTORS® Housing Relief Fund to help pay the mortgage and rental costs of the families devastated by the terrorist attacks in New York City and Washington, D.C. Texas REALTORS® have contributed nearly $200,000 to the fund, with TAR accounting for $50,000 of that total, and local associations and boards in Texas chipping in significant amounts as well. Nationwide, more than $7 million had been collected for the fund at press time, with $5 million already distributed directly to victims families. However, NAR says that only covers perhaps a quarter of those directly affected by the Sept. 11 attacks. Contribute online, view up-to-date state contribution and disbursement totals, or download promotional materials (such as posters and logos), at http://relief.realtors.org. You can also call 800/874-6500.
