TAR launches commercial property exchange

Commercial real estate practitioners in Texas can now input property data once and have it simultaneously published to multiple Web sites, including personal and company sites and CCIMNet, the national commercial-property online database.

The Web-based commercial property exchange will aggregate data from five CCIM chapters in Texas, as well as local commercial information exchanges throughout the state. All properties automatically upload to CCIMNet, providing additional national exposure for Texas participants’ properties.

Participation is open to all commercial real estate practitioners, and participants retain ownership of the data. The system, accessed through TexasRealtors.com, enables participants to assemble—in real time—detailed property-marketing packages including:

  • More than 200 fields of information, tailored to each property type
  • Multiple photos with captions
  • Audio/video files and 360-degree tours
  • Site maps, blueprints, floor plans, site plans, plat maps, topo maps, and aerials
  • Password-protected documents
  • Suite availability and tenant profiles
  • Geo-coded street maps

The service, which includes its own software, is free to all CCIM designates and candidates. For others, cost is $24 per month for TAR members and $29.95 per month for nonmembers.

The Texas Association of REALTORS®’ new commercial property exchange is the result of a partnership among TAR, the CCIM Institute, and Catylist Real Estate Software Inc.
